Have you considered using a poster as the central focal point of your holiday celebration?  Sure everyone knows Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus, but does it seem to get lost at your house?  It’s very easy to decorate around a Christmas poster and you will be surprised at your family’s reactions.

Is there someone special in your life having a baby?  Do you want to give them something special but it seems like all their needs are covered?  You could give them a gift certificate but once that’s spent, it’s soon forgotten.

I have a picture that used to hang on my wall.  It was a simple paint by the number that my grandmother painted; nothing too elaborate but I liked it.  Something like that goes from babyhood to toddler stage and beyond.  You can make the same impact with a special children’s poster.  For a really nice gift, have it mounted and framed and it will become a lasting treasure.

Well maybe posters for Christmas, I love posters.  They can brighten up a room.  Think makeover in a minute.

I watched a sewing show on TV where the ladies were making pillow covers that could be changed according to the season.  It’s a great idea.  Why not do it with posters?  Change them with the seasons and embrace the change.  Haven’t you noticed how invigorating it is to take a walk when the air changes in Autumn.  How about during the first snowfall of the year?  There’s something energizing about the change.

Bringing that into your living area will lift everyone’s spirits!

With more and more people focused on Christmas, remember that it’s prime time to freshen up your college room.  The new semester is coming and in many ways, the spring semester is the hardest.  Why not get ready now with something that will fill your room with encouragement?  Move into a new year with fresh posters on your dorm room walls.  It’s a small investment that will pay true dividends.

We are facing a Christmas Season that isn’t like anything I can remember.  Beyond recession or inflation, we are in something that is more accurately termed deflation.  Our economic future is uncertain and people are doing whatever they think will make their future better.  It tends to leave out any frills or extras.

So where does that leave Christmas?  Maybe this isn’t the best time for Christmas but it will come in spite of circumstances.  Remember that Christmas is a Christian holiday meant for us to celebrate the birth of Jesus.  When we give gifts, we remember the great gift of God sending His Son for our sake and also to remember the gifts the wise men brought to Jesus.  None of that requires us to go into debt or to shop until we drop.

Having said that, no matter how tight things are, it’s not fair to your children for you to ignore Christmas.  There are many public things that you can do.  Everything from parades, to tree lighting ceremonies and community dinners.  I certainly didn’t mean to go off on this track but if it speaks to you, you might find some ideas at my new Cheap Living Today blog.

What does all that have to do with posters?  With less in the budget, a Christmas Poster can make a big impact as a decorating focal point.  Placed in an entrance foyer or at the end of a hall, it leaves no doubt as to the reason for your celebration.  Why not visit AllPosters.com and see what they have to offer?
