We are facing a Christmas Season that isn’t like anything I can remember.  Beyond recession or inflation, we are in something that is more accurately termed deflation.  Our economic future is uncertain and people are doing whatever they think will make their future better.  It tends to leave out any frills or extras.

So where does that leave Christmas?  Maybe this isn’t the best time for Christmas but it will come in spite of circumstances.  Remember that Christmas is a Christian holiday meant for us to celebrate the birth of Jesus.  When we give gifts, we remember the great gift of God sending His Son for our sake and also to remember the gifts the wise men brought to Jesus.  None of that requires us to go into debt or to shop until we drop.

Having said that, no matter how tight things are, it’s not fair to your children for you to ignore Christmas.  There are many public things that you can do.  Everything from parades, to tree lighting ceremonies and community dinners.  I certainly didn’t mean to go off on this track but if it speaks to you, you might find some ideas at my new Cheap Living Today blog.

What does all that have to do with posters?  With less in the budget, a Christmas Poster can make a big impact as a decorating focal point.  Placed in an entrance foyer or at the end of a hall, it leaves no doubt as to the reason for your celebration.  Why not visit AllPosters.com and see what they have to offer?
